We traditionally first perform an assessment to understand your reliability goals and challenges, and to recommend what phase to start with: Availability, Functionality, Usability, and Sustainability.  The assessment is typically a fixed bid research and consulting project that varies in length depending on the complexity of your situation.  Our final report will contain specific, actionable advice that you can pursue on your own or with us.

Infrastructure Review

We work with your team to understand what you have in place for hardware, software, people, and procedures from the perspective of reliability.  From this work, we will recommend opportunities for improving reliability and emphasize what you currently have that is essential to your reliability.  We can help you document and present the true costs of maintaining and improving reliability in a way that speaks to your business partners.  Additionally, we will work with your staff to enable them to evaluate new technologies and opportunities in the future. 

Production Triage

Sometimes you need help right now to stop the bleeding in production.  We've been there, and our experience in having to operate complex systems 24x7x365 has given us experience at how to understand and resolve critical production issues quickly. 

Infrastructure Monitoring and Metrics

A key question we focus on is: How do you know?  This question is at the center of highly reliable systems.  We work with you to determine what are the key metrics that inform you of the status of your infrastructure and speak to your business partners of your success.  We can then recommend and, in some cases, even implement automated methods of tracking these metrics to provide low cost, high value clarity on your status and value.
